an album in the works?
I’ve been thinking about what to write about for a few days and all that really comes to mind is that I may, or may not, be working on writing an album of my own. I’ve got a few songs that I’ve actually recorded.. and by a few I mean maybe one or two to demo and send around to record labels to see if they even think I’m good enough to get a record deal or some studio time. I have Jayda Barclay to thank for even putting the idea in my head. I’ve been writing ever since I was a wee teenager in high school brooding over the girl next door while sitting in my room with all those little glow in the dark stars on the ceiling. Granted, back then I was absolute crap and had no real meaning to those songs except for the whole ‘thump-thump, girly makes my heart go boom’ kind of thing.. which is rubbish, in my opinion. I’m getting a bit ranty over something not even worth ranting about.. Anyway, continuing.
Anyone who hasn’t been to a warped date this summer is really missing out. I’ve managed to catch a couple of shows and I’ve got to say that it’s absolutely brilliant. A good time if there ever was one. Wish I’d got to see more of them. I’ve been thinking severely on whether or not I want to head back to the UK for a couple of months or if I just want to hang out in Toronto after I’ve finished up helping out with my wicked bass skills. We shall see, I suppose. Until then, interdweebs.! Sounds mean but, I swear it’s a term of endearment.
